The Flower Guard

The Flower Guard is a division of Pitelion's Army that specifically works under the orders of the Kikerion Cooperative. Their original purpose was to protect the farmland owned by the Cooperative from outside threats, although they have also become a sort of internal police, charged with monitoring workers and punishing them if they step out of line. It was founded by the 12th representative of Kikerion as part of their response to the Fall from Grace, as famines were becoming more common and there were fears that desperate people would try to raid and damage the fields, leading to even worse yields in subsequent harvests. However, it grew in power and corruption with the Cooperative.
It is the largest specialized division of Pitelion's Army and also the least closely managed. That combined with the rampant corruption of the Cooperative led to huge abuses of power within their ranks that went overlooked so long as it didn't significantly hurt production. This is why poorer citizens in Shindus generally treat the Flower Guard with suspicion or even outright hostility. This divide came to a head with the purges carried out by Liruka Seizhang, the 19th representative of Bamalion, which ended with the death of many high ranking officers of the Flower Guard and an overall decrease in their influence and ability to discipline workers.
The Flower Guard has a very distinct uniform, consisting of leather armor dyed forest green and colorful head-wear that varies depending on rank. Lower ranking members of the force will usually just have a leather or hide cap that is dyed a vivid floral color while higher ranking members will have intricate metal helmets styled to look like flowers. The twelve highest ranking officers are known as the Bouquet, and are each associated with a different flower, which their uniforms are made to match.
