Studded Marble Bricks

Studded Marble is a stone-like material used by the Five Heroes and the first settlers of Shindus to build many of the oldest and most important structures in Lukrar. Visually, it looks incredibly similar to marble, although it has a ruddy orange tint to it. It is usually carved with very specific purposes in mind, with certain sides of a given brick being designated as internal or external pieces. This is important because, while the external sides of a brick are smooth and unblemished so as to make for an aesthetically pleasing final product, the internal sides are carved with countless glyphs and runes. Those symbols serve as an enchantment that gives the bricks unparalleled strength, durability, and lightness.
However, while there are still multiple structures built from Studded Marble Bricks, such as Tirelian's Spire and Pitelion's Pride, the knowledge of how to produce more has been lost to time. The last pieces that were known to have been created were made by Shilaieth the Smith of the Five Heroes nearly a thousand years ago. All records of the process were wiped and removed from the University of Bamalion's Libraries, seemingly in a purposeful purge of information, although nobody is sure when, where, or by whom it was carried out. For this reason, it is also unknown whether the technology was the result of a blessing from Dorelion, Goddess of Creation, or a remnant of old Dujukan technology.
The University of Bamalion and multiple representatives have dedicated large amounts of time and resources towards researching the remaining samples that exist in the hopes of being able to reverse engineer the process, but no significant progress has been made on that process in nearly 500 years. However, Liruka Seizhang, the 19th representative of Bamalion, recently made significant breakthroughs on discovering previously unknown aspects of the enchantment placed on Studded Marble Bricks, including their ability to story magical energy, almost like a battery, and their ability to change form when properly manipulated with magic.
