Liruka Seizhang

Representative Liruka Seizhang

Liruka Seizhang is the 19th representative of Bamalion.   Following the fall of Ratsuik, the 12th representative of Pitelion, and the associated disappearance of Pitelion's representatives, Shindus entered a relative dark age. Shindus had used the presence of the representatives and the blessings granted to them by the Pentide to establish their nation, following their migration to the Shindusian valley, and to steadily expand their borders in the following centuries by putting military pressure on the already established nations in the region. With the sudden absence of raw military power that the representatives of Pitelion offered as well as a major disruption to the command structure of Shindus' formal military, Shindus faced a series of military losses that shrunk their borders and demoralized them as a nation.   This dark age continued for another few centuries, but was eventually brought to an end in large part due to the leadership of Liruka. She took charge of the nation using the University of Bamalion, temporarily usurping power from the Kikerion Cooperative that had taken charge during the uncertain years at the beginning of the dark age. She diverted national efforts towards reestablishing themselves as a military power instituted military reform aimed at the decentralization of the command structure away from relying on the representatives, who had previously divided the management of the military among themselves in the absence of a representative of Pitelion. She founded the Shindus Militia Academy as an independent branch of the University of Bamalion to train new strategists and administrators to manage the military without directly drawing resources from the other 4 branches of the government.   In cooperation with the Militia Academy and the other representatives, she also organized a purge of a few noble houses that had acted as subversive forces during the dark age, using the chaos to consolidate their own power at the expense of the representatives and small folk. Although there is no formally recognized leader of Shindus, Liruka is viewed by many as the de facto leader because of her pervasive influence in the operations of all branches of government and not just the University.
