Classical Karuthēn ([karuðɛːn] (Ka-roo-then))

Classical Karuthēn refers to the dialect of the Karuthēn language originally spoken by those Karuthēn who followed the all-conquering King Ilūrath back into their homeland, it remains the dialect spoken by Karuthēn nobility and clergymen.
The language can supposedly trace its roots back to the tongue spoken by the original exiled people who would come to control the northern steppe before their return to the land of three rivers.
This dialect is notoriously difficult to learn for non-natives due to its complex phonology, polysynthetic constructions, and non-concatenative morphology and an ability to speak it to a high standard is prized as a sign of great intellect.
