Geisler's Butchery
A wooden sign sticking out into the street swings lightly from the gentle breeze. It's shaped and painted up like a smiling pig, with a sausage beneath it functioning as a banner, the word "butchery" written along the sausage. The breeze carries with it the scent of raw meat. Through the glass windows you can see the butcher working, knife in hand, expertly cutting the meat from a skinned sheep. Jars of salt for preservation, as well as smaller pots of various crushed herbs and spices sit readily available on a counter, while sausages of various types sit in shelves on the walls.
This is Alberich's butchery. The back room is a storage for various dry ingredients used to create different flavors in sausages and the like, and also holds a stairway that goes down into a well built and cool cellar where most of the meat is preserved. The second storey used to be where Alberich lived before he married Ulla Geisler, but is now the home of their daughter, Engel Geisler, whom sometime helps out in the shop.
