The Shattered Lands

In the beginning there were only two peoples. No gods, goddesses or deities, no monsters or aberrations; there were only godlings and humans. However this state did not last for long. The godlings were not gods, but they were quite powerful, able to create life of differing aspects and eventually choosing a champion and ascending to the heavens to have true deity power. Nine pantheons now grace the heavens, but the historians and clerics tell us that there were ten godlings. Does one still walk among us? Is there another pantheon hidden from our view? Or is there deeper more sinister reason we do not know of the missing godling?
