The Moons of the Shattered Lands

The Shattered Lands have 4 moons. Thibromia is the white moon, Faehines appears mostly green, Renvetis is rarely seen by the naked eye, more noticeable for the empty spot it leaves in the sky, and Kusaephus is covered in a giant city, and it's lights are visible during the nights. All four moons have been present for as long as most folks can remember. Some mythology has suggested that the moons where created with the creation of the Pantheon of Perfection, but the moons distinctly existed before the pantheon. The four moons each have their own places in the worlds religions and mythologies. On top of that they have always affected the tides, in an extremely complicated push and pull, creating a tide cycle that only repeats once every 2341 years. Since the shattering, the moons also effect the movement of the free floating continents and islands.

Thibromia

Cycle of 37 days   Thibromia is the white moon and has the most distinct phases that are noticeable to those untrained. Due to this it holds an important place in many religious practices. This is also the moon that effects werekin, who are effected when this moon is full. Thibromia appears white and covered in craters from the surface of the shattered isles. Those who have been to Thibromia say it is the least hospitable of the moons, it requires special magic simply to breath and has very few useful resources. With a lack of water, natural vegetation, or breathable air, Thibromia is considered a barren rack by most experts and therefor not worth exploring further.

Faehines

Cycle of 53 days   Faehines is a jungle and forest covered moon. Appearing green from the surface of the shattered isles due to the dense canopy that covers most of it's surface. Though thinking there is just trees here is gravely mistaken, below that canopy lies great rivers, and many quite mystical creatures. The Elves consider this moon their homeland and it houses many elves at any given time. This moon is not just home to the elves though, famous creatures with origins here include the displacer beast, blink dogs, pixies and many more.

Renvetis

Cycle of 29 Days   Renvetis is an enigma. Most common folk do not realize this moon exists because it is not visible with the naked eye from the surface of the shattered lands. Old tomes describe a ash coloured moon with red rivers along it's surface, but now it is simply darkness. The only true sign of it's continued existence being the strange hole it appears to leave in the sky. Those who have been there describe it as a haunting place, void of any colour. Some describe it as a land of shadows, a cursed shadowy reflection of the world it once orbited.

Kusaephus

Cycle of 17 days   Kusaephus is a giant city, once well travelled by most adventurers. The tomes tell of a time when Kusaephus acted as the hub of the world, a nexus of portals that allowed you to travel from anywhere to anywhere, with simply a short jaunt through Kusaephus. But the shattering has made travel to and from Kusaephus dangerous, very few can now say they've been there and most who attempt the journey do not return. The lights of the city still glow in the night sky, revealing that people are still there. But until the leylines are stronger, they are on their own, stranded from the rest of civilization on the shattered lands.
