Marcus Albiere was an instructor of sorts in the old world, traveling between academies and royal courts to lecture as well as to learn. His reputation was sterling and in time he rose to become a nobleman of sorts himself, a wealthy nexus of knowledge of eccentricities serving as an international focus for trade. After the Ash fell he spent several years in the region of the former Carrylean Empire, acting in a humanitarian effort to help refugees and those left behind find their way to the relative safety of the west.
He came to Meggido early, soon after the initial settlers, and founded the Collegium which now sits on the atol of the Western Ridge.
