After the ash she lead a band of ever-growing refugees towards Van Myr, and they managed to stay united despite the best attempts of the Peacekeepers and the Merchant Council to divide them. In the Penitent Bay they found a place they hoped finally to settle forever, a place to find peace. RELATIONSHIP - Joey the Sorcadin aided her father King Memnarch and their people during a particularly virulent plague. They became fast friends through the struggle and as the time came for him to depart tears were shed and many fond wishes to see one another again. Joey the Sorcadin has trouble reconciling the reports of the brooding, and some say merciless, leader with the irreverent and wild young woman he had once known, a woman whose playful wit and mastery of exotic arts was already as much a legend as her wayward fits of wanderlust.

Joey the Sorcadin along with his master, Logan, aided Hippolita's father King Memnarch and their people when a plague was threatening chaos. They became friends over the journey, and left on good terms hoping to see one another again.
