Gwenivar

After the last war, the life in The Courtlands was in turmoil. Cities had been destroyed, loved ones lost andThe High Court was trying to establish the new order to ensure that all the quarreling between the Courts would stay in the past where it belonged. As a part of a long-term plan to rise the morale of a nation trying to recover from a tragedy, The High Court had a number of brand new cities build up to replace the ones that had been lost. One of this new flagship settlements was Gwenivar, also known as The Queen's City or The Aquamarine, a city build on the shores of the benevolent inland sea.

From the very beginning, Gwenivar was build to become a city of leisure and pleasure. It was filled with wide promenades, shops full of wonders, theaters to offer entertainment and spas for pampering and bettering one's health. And of course there were the teahouses, as the area was already known for its Blue Tea. To set an example, the Queen and the princesses of The High Court started to go on short vacations in the brand new shore city, and it didn't take long for the nobility to follow them. Nowadays, everyone who is someone is heading to Gwenivar at least once a year, to indulge themselves in everything the city has to offer.

Tourism

Gwenivar was build for tourism and it lives from it. It is the trendiest place to take a vacation amongst the nobility - and amongst those who wish to be nobility.

Architecture

Gwenivar was build to inspire and enlighten. The architecture takes a lot of inspiration from nature with almost organic shapes and decorations that resemble flowers and animals, especially those that are associated with water and the sea. Colorful glass paintings can be seen everywhere, and different shades of marble have been used lavishly.
