The Einheryari (ine-her-YAR-i)

The Einheryari were a group created at the Beginning of Days by the Tiurï to protect the Seven Quäenaï. Little is known about the first version of the Einheryari, as they stayed out of sight of most inhabitants of the Seven Quäenaï. Even most of the Tiurï remained unaware of their true nature. Some thought they were a different species entirely, as nothing had been seen like them before. Others thought they were Men or Elves, empowered with special abilities to more efficiently combat the threats that the world would face. The truth is still unknown, so I will focus on the second version of the Einheryari.

In 5347 First Age, the Fallen attacked Qarëya, destroying the Einheryari. In the process, the Eye of Einheryar was lost. The Einheryari remained destroyed until Suthulë of 2764 Third Age, when the Prophecy was fulfilled and the Seven Einheryari brought together, signalling the rebirth of the peacekeeping organisation. Over the next few months, more talented individuals were inducted into the Einheryari, but the Seven remained as the core of the growing organisation.

Tywell III led this resurgence of the Einheryari, known to some as the New Einheryari, with Ralthyr Wazavor and Wëls Aluverí as his lieutenants. Other members apart from the Seven included Ayduin, a telekinetic; Lëaro, an informant; and Breeze, an expert in unarmed combat.

The Einheryari participated in many major combats, including The Ilaniyan War and The Great Shadow War, to name a few. They played key roles in both of these, and if they had not existed, those wars would have played out very differently.

The Eye of Einheryar

The Eye was a necklace imbued with the power of the Tiurï which was given to the leader of the Einheryari. It allowed the wearer to catch glimpses of possible futures, regardless of what those futures entailed. After it was lost in 5347, several wearers who did not know what it was and came across it were driven mad by dreams of foresight they could not explain.

When Tywell's mother gave it to him just before her death, he stowed it away and didn't wear it. However, when he put it on just before the Quest in 2764, he began to be haunted by prophetic visions of the Castle falling to the B'omarrin Kashar. When the group met the Wise Woman of the Great Plains, she explained the Eye's powers, and in the future, Tywell would remove it whenever he woke up because of his dreams. But the visions grew stronger, and soon they appeared to him even when he wasn't wearing it, and so he put it back on for fear of losing it. This was caused by a special property of the Eye which caused it to bond to the leader of the Einheryari, in this case Tywell, even though he had not yet assumed leadership capacities.
