The Season Kingdoms

A world of old, doused in the blood of a new conflict. Humans have long waged a war on the world, fighting for their right to exist. Now, with the development of ever-advancing technology, this battle seems to be slowing down, edging in their favour. With this newfound freedom, the people of the world have decided to claim more of this world. And with their claims for new territory, also come claims for political expression. In the light of their tentative peace, a new conflict is brewing. This time one between humans.   Once, humans were a single faction, united under the banner of their refusal to give in to the forces of this world. Now, humans spread out over the world, undermining the unity that got them where they are. And yet, people want more. The technologies necessary for their survival are turned on political enemies and a new world of conflict is born.   At the hands of this first war, the world is ravaged. Countless lives are lost as all sense of community breaks down and allies become enemies. And right as the people turn their backs, nature strikes back. A human-made conflict becomes another all-out war, fighting back both their enemies and torrents of nature's most horrible beasts. Just as in ages past, humans seem outclassed by the assaults of these strange, powerful monsters. But humanity hangs on.   After the first war between people, another era of suspenseful peace has arisen. Four nations still stand on the pillars of this truce. Combustion technology has the world in an even safer spot than before. But the fires of conflict are not easily doused. Can the nations keep this wobbly alliance from crumbling down? Will the world be set back to the Days of Chaos, or can order be upheld? And why are these strange, bloodthirsty monsters seemingly becoming even more vicious and smarter?
