the pandas in the inner plains

in the inner plains there is a river that flows through the middle and a forest grew from that river. in that forests pandas from the mountains came and inhabited the southern part of the forests. it is very strange they originally resided in the forests in the mountains and now you might be able to spot one every now and then. the forest doesn't provide any food the pandas eat but the pandas adapted to eat the fruit in the forests. the halfiings that reside in the inner plains believe that a monster might have scared them into coming north and they are to scared to go back. the pandas leave the halflings alone and the halflings leave the pandas alone so not much is known about the pandas. the pandas have black and white fur and tough claws they use to climb trees and pick fruit. the pandas also live up in the trees like a koala would and they have significantly less weight then the did in the mountains so they could stay in the tress longer picking fruit and not fall to the ground. the pandas survive just fine on there own they some times journey out to the plains but the decide to come back to jungle. the pandas are around 5 feet tall when they sit and 3-4 feet tall when on all fours. the pandas aren't just black and white occasionally they would spot a red panda the halflings consider this lucky to see a red panda and as a sign of good fortune in the future. the pandas don't have any predators in the jungle and they just eat the food on the trees so there isn't a big impact on the forest and it still grows strong. the pandas will occasionally come closer to the halflings why is unknown some believe that when the die they will be turned into pandas.
