the ancient city in the Magnificent Canyon.

In the magnificent canyon was found by a cartographer named Droffilc who wanted to chart the continent. He set out to the north of the elven forests and found the Magnificent Canyon and went and explored other areas of the north. he later came back to explore more of the Magnificent Canyon and found ruins of a city. he later gathered a group of explorers to more thoroughly explore the ruins. the settlement that lived there lived in the cliff face of the Canyon. they carved out there houses and built ramps and bridges on the side of the cliff to get to place to place. evidence shows that they ate fish from the bottom of the canyon and edible plants that grew on the sides of the cliffs. they hunted the fish with large spears and they aimed for the larger fish. while Droffilc was there he also discovered a unique plant the would grow straight out of the stone and this plant created a sweet grapefruit. the most interesting thing they found was in the center of the canyon was platforms floating with magic with rope bridges leading up to them. they found this strange magical contraptions that would make the platforms of stone keep hovering in place. as they poked around they found it only stayed in place when the magic device was active. the platforms seemed like gathering areas for festivals and other large events. they took one device home to try to replicate it. there was some viens of exposed iron on the side of the cliff face they mined and used to make there spears and other things they would need. Droffilc also found a fishing spear that was magically enchanted and found it was used for fishing it would never miss its target and would come back to his hand when he commanded. he assumed it was for the most excellent hunters when people inhabited the canyon.
