Zeth The Wonder

Tell us about a famous explorer in your world. What did they discover? Zeth The Wonder, the greatest explorer of the Age of Dusk. Zeth was the son of a human man and an elven woman from the Realm of Felliath. Zeth was shunned from society since he was considered a half breed which forced him into a life of poverty. As he grew up, his desire for adventure aged with him. He wanted to leave his home, explore the other realms, and bring riches to his home. His parents were strongly against their son leaving Felliath, but his uncle on his father side, encouraged him to seek out a better life. His uncle crafted him armor, a sword, and a ring of great luck. His aunt gave him a book of spells, scrolls, different types of powder, a magical orb, and food for his journey. Zeth packed all of his belongings and left a farewell note for his parents, ensuring them that he will return with great riches and pride for his family. His first adventure was to find the door of Alivan, which acted as a portal to other realms. Aaviar, Shen Ra, Corrib, Halvine, Mallogoth, and many more. He found the door in the outskirts of Felliath, where the door was guarded by powerful totems. Each totem represented a different feat of an adventurer. The first totem was a giant with three eyes and four arm. This giant was called an Uz-Log. The Uz-Log had weapons in each hand. An axe in the upper left, a sword in the upper right, a hammer in the lower left, and a whip in the lower right. Zeth's original plan was to use one of the powders his aunt gave him; a sleeping powder to be exact. However, he realized it wouldn't be enough against the Uz-Log, nor would conversing with it to let him pass. So, Zeth used a duplication spell on himself. Every time the Uz-Log destroyed one copy, another one would appear. He used the first copy to jump onto the Uz-Log's upper right arm, so the monster used his hand with the axe to swing at Zeth, but what it really did was chop off one of its own arms. One of Zeth's copies hid behind a stone and when the Uz-Log swung his axe into the stone, it was trapped. The Uz-Log used its whip to try and hit the real Zeth, but another copy got onto the knee of the Uz-Log and the Uz-Log blinded by rage broke his own leg with his mace, crumbling to the ground. Zeth approached the monster with his sword, but as he saw the Uz-Log begin to weep, a great feeling of regret came upon the half breed. The Uz-Log begged Zeth to allow it to live and Zeth in tears apologized to the monster, who then healed the Uz-Log as best as he could. Seeing this act of generosity, Verum Bonum, God of Good, returned the Uz-Log's arm. The Uz-Log then sent Zeth to the next Totem and warned him of the hound, The Keerdon. The Keerdon was a giant hound created by Verum Malum, God of Evil. Its purpose was to bring absolute havoc to the realms. It was able to breathe fire, break someone in half with a single bite, and paralyze someone with a singer stare from its eyes. Zeth was warned that attempting to persuade or deceive the Keerdon was a death sentence, since the Keerdons were known for their deceit. Zeth took this warning, and took a blindfold with him. After that he set off to find the Keerdon. As Zeth walked through a dead forest, he felt a sense of dread and smelled smoke from trees. He heard the growl of the Keerdon and as soon as he saw it, the hound charged at Zeth with such ferocity. Zeth was able to dodge the Keerdon, and he placed his blindfold on. With his exceptional hearing, he was able to tell where the Keerdon was coming from. Playing with the Keerdon long enough, Zeth pulled out sleeping powder ad blew it into the Keerdon's face. The Keerdon fell into a deep sleep. Soon Verum Malum then appeared before Zeth. At first the Dark King was furious that one of his many hounds were defeated by a mortal, but after a moment he laughed with sinisterly dark voice. He congratulated the young explorer. The Dark King then offered Zeth what he always wanted, glory and riches, but Zeth rejected his offer. Zeth knew of Verum Malum and his many dangers. At this moment, Zeth thought he was going to be killed right then and there, however Verum Malum let him live. Stating that if their paths ever crossed again, Verum Malum would not be as civil. Finally, Zeth would face a bridge and encounter death itself. Zeth encountered the hooded Reaper who proposed a game of cards. The two played a card game, but Zeth caught on quickly that Death was cheating, by rigging the cards, so Zeth used another spell to grant him any cards that would win him the game. When Death played its card, Zeth shocked Death by showing it his winning cards. Death was enraged by Zeth outsmarting him and was going to drag him straight to the land of the dead, but Verum Libra, the Mother of the universe itself, sent death away. Verum Libra was deeply impressed and amused by Zeth and his capability to defy the fates, so as a reward, she granted Zeth access to the Door of Alivan. Zeth thanked the Goddess and set off for his long journey across the universe. Zeth is a legend now, immortalize in the Scrolls of Aaviar. He laid down the ground work thousands of adventures to live up to, and became an icon. Eventually Zeth's legend would help lead the Savior's to victory in the Age of Prophecies.
