Ancient Sarkorsian

The language for Old Sarkoris, from before the opening of the Worldwound. While the fundamentals of the language have been maintained by the Descendants of Old Sarkoris , much has been lost over the generations disconnected from their homeland. Due to the size and organization which their culture required to protect the expanses of the Great Sarkoris Plateau , there have been a number of discovered caches of old paperwork, notes, messages, and writings and books, which have helped gain some insight into ancient Sarkorsian culture.   While the alphabet of the language is Common based, which isn't uncommon for many cultures on the Avistan continent, however there are some stylized elements to several characters which show an Abyssal influence to the writing. Additional there are a number of crossover words from Abyssal in the language.   The recent discoveries about Abyssal influences in the language has been a subject of great interest with many historic scholars, giving some possible hints to the cause of the Worldwound. While certainly not comfortable revelation to the Descendants of Old Sarkoris , the leadership of Gundrun, and particularly Governess Vasira Eldins has been going lengths to recover whatever historical documentation they can, and has been working with representatives from the Pathfinder Society to make sure everything is properly recorded and examined.   The most interesting work that has been recovered is The Folly of Hubris, a collection of short comedic plays. The plays seems to mostly be political or cultural takedowns, making fun on bureaucratic processes, social and gneder norms, odd religious practices, and secret societies.
