Siege of Astrid

The Siege of Astrid was the Saeris' final push to take full control of the planet Aten. A Saeris legion marched on the city of Astrid. The city was isolated and the remaining Human and Zahren members of the Aten government were hunted and eliminated. Important religious and cultural relics of Aten were destroyed. Humans were forced into hiding out of fear of the Saeris. Zahren were forced to choose sides; Human or Saeris.
The Saeris eliminated the remaining Human and Zahren members of government. Aten's Astran Assembly was dissolved by force. Saeris reformed the Assembly placing Saeris and Saeris sympathizers in all positions of power. Few Zahren remain in positions of power.

Aftermath

Saeris gain total physical and political control of Aten. All protections for Humans are eliminated. Zahren come to be seen as second class citizens.
