Gabriel does not know or remember much about their past. They woke up on Aten in the city of Astrid almsot fifteen years before the start of the story. Ten years before the start of the story, Gabriel saw Nash across the market. Gabriel's mind kept wandering to the girl they had saw and Nash searched for the boy she had seen. Gabriel was not close to anyone and did not go near anyone as a touch to their skin could prove fatal. Gabriel's powers are not stable and a touch to their skin triggers a power that zaps the life from the individual. Nash was not afraid of Gabriel and brought them to the small group. Gabriel learned to trust others. They always wear gloves, long sleeves/jacket, and long trousers to prevent accidentally touching someone and hurting them. Nash often flirts the line making them uncomfortable with how close she is.
