Jungles of Flesh and Blood

Two jungles, once connected were torn by the Vindali river. To the south is the jungle of blood, the sanguine trees feeding on the blood and life of those who live there. To the north is the jungle of flesh, its soil bringing back to life that which once lived, its fruit giving sustenance to those who live there now.

Geography

Both jungles are rocky near the river, which rages between them. the island slopes upwards, once a mountian range, the only mountain left is on the south eastern side of the jungle islands. Outside of the jungle is vast flatlands, still lush with grass.

Fauna & Flora

The jungle of blood has no fauna, it has been eaten by the trees. In its place, flora has overgrown that side, becoming sentient and starting small colonies. They are untouched by the forest, and it provides them with safety. Off the coast of this side of the island is a colony of krakens, they have learned to stay away from the shores, but the ones who get too close are snatched by the forest and sucked dry of all their blood.   The jungle of flesh is teeming with flora and fauna, bringing back the dead and letting the living flourish, a great number of carnivores from the ages roam the dense forest looking for their next meal, while many arboreal creatures feed off of the life giving fruit that the trees provide.

Natural Resources

The jungle of blood has resources in the sap that they excrete, which slows down the decomposition and returns the functions of creating blood. while the sap may be useful, its acquisition is incredibly deadly. The jungle of flesh has resources of the fruit, as well as numerous hides and other trophies from the beasts that roam there which are extinct everywhere else.
