Scene II: Set Sail for Sunsail

A swath of cool air whips through the morning sky, peppering the marble courtyard in a hundred dozen golden-red Eversong leaves. An arcane construction strolls past and hums warningly as it registers your presence. "Bal'a dash, authorized visitors," greets the magical golem. "Failure to uphold peace results in immediate termination." Following closely behind is a juvenile lynx, stalking the construct as if it were prey. The small red cat pauses momentarily in your direction to sniff the air before returning to its pursuit.   With no explanation for your experience inside the macabre tower, you ask yourself the necessary question: What now?   As if to answer, the hearthstone you received earlier from the steward begins to pulsate with light and sound somewhere on your person. A familiar voice echoes through the air.   "Hello?" Lady Bloodcraft asks sharply. "Can you hear me?" The disembodied voice speeds past the chance of a response. "Yes, very well then. By now you've met the group you will be working with for the duration of this journey." Her words cut in-and-out like a broken goblin telegadget. "If you haven't already, I suggest getting used to each other. The voyage to the Broken Isles will be a long one.   "The translocator should have spat you out close to the stables on the west wing of the manor. Head there first. If you get lost, just look for the yellow hedges—though I suspect the sound of my hawkstriders will be indication enough of your arrival, the noisy bunch. A ship and her captain are waiting at Sunsail Anchorage to take you across the North Sea. It would be best if you headed there immediately; my stable hands have already done the courtesy of preparing your mounts for a hasty departure. When you reach the anchorage's inn, The Lynx and The Lady, call for boatswain Klaus.   Al diel shala!"   The philanthropist's parting words ripple in the air before the hearthstone abruptly shuts off, and the magical stone resumes its function as a pretty paper weight in your pocket. You take a moment to ponder Voixra's comment about the translocator, well-known Thalassian technology that teleports its user from one location to another. But usually the process is instantaneous; no translocator you've ever used has induced such surreal visions. Something about your trip through the curtained doorway strikes you as odd, but you choose to let the matter settle in the back of your head and instead focus on the task at hand: reaching Sunsail Anchorage.   If you have any knowledge on the western portions of Quel'thalas, then you may know that Sunsail Anchorage was invaded by Aldaron the Reckless a decade ago with his army of Wretched. It has since been reclaimed by the Farstriders and converted into a major trading port. No shortage of seedy characters lurk the anchorage today; businesses including the Trade Fleets and the notorious Venture Trading Company make merchandise runs out of its grove wood docks day-in and day-out.   You and your party best head for the destination as soon as possible, lest you wish to incur the wrath of your eccentric client. The first step in the right direction is retrieving your mounts from the stables.
