Setting

Republic of Firenzo is set in the world of Historia. The TL/DR version of what that means:

• None of the usual D&D races are used. Instead you play as anthropomorphic animals - mammals and birds
• It's set in Renaissance rather than Medieval age. So you have access to early gunpowder weapons and even class related to them.
• It's a Dark Fantasy setting and some mechanics are tweaked to reflect that. The system is more deadly and resting is much harder.
• It has it's own classes. Some of which are a mashup of the original, some are unique. There's a barbarian, that casts spells (yes, really!).
• You play as anthropomorphic animals! Like kitties, doges or wolverines!
