History

After the war in the shattered realm and its destruction, Celvar and the Diva's disappeared. Animal folk were in despair and lost without them. One of them took it upon themselves to guide them and to remember what the Diva's taught them. They became the first Divine Vicegerent. The animal folk came together and formed the Celvic faithful. They would sing and pray to Celvar and the Diva's, In hope's they will return. They built temples where their divine gods once gave council, and stored sacred artifacts in them. The ruined cities were rebuilt and the land was divided into realms, Each had their own grand temples and each had their Prima Cleric who governed over that realm. The Errentans were not left out and they were integrated. Celvar offered them sanctuary and the Celvics will carry on her mercy. For centuries, The Celvic temples held power over the realms, Peace and progress reined over the realms, None who find themselves wanting. but as years passed, The faithful waned. As disbelief and doubt that the Diva's or Celvar even existed, Grew over the generations. Accounts turned into myths and those who asked the priests "Where is god?" couldn't answer themselves. Corruption in the temple also eroded the control they had, Silver tonged priests worked their way to become Prima clerics. Fore going the traditions of selecting the Divine Vicegerent, They voted in unworthy ones into the position. Tyrannical rule, Lavish lifestyles, Breaking the tenets, Persecution of the Errantans and Purges of the unfaithful was all part of the eventual end and the split in the temples. The Factions that came from the split were, The Divian's who worshiped exclusively the Diva's and saw the Errantans as interlopers. The Celvic's who fought to keep Celvar's word and mercy. The Celvic group sided with the growing rebellion, Battling to overthrow the temple's corrupt leaders. A civil war between Divians and Celvics lasted for 100 years before finally the Temple was removed from power and the realms started to govern themselves. The reputation of the Celvic temples was greatly tarnished, Never again to hold power over the realms and many of their temples were destroyed. Several years would pass before the Divians and Celvics reconciled and merged as one again. The Celvic faith was weakened, Recorded history would fetter a mistrusting attitude towards them. The faith would see a further decline after the Mana Storm. The senate state of Taurosi is the only place were the Celvic faith has a strong foothold and considered the capital of the faith.

Worship

Their main method of worship is to pray and sing. This is done daily 2 times a day, at dawn and before sunset When they need to preform miracle magic, They all gather around a stone alter table that is laid with a purple blueish embroidered cloth. They begin with a prayer before singing the hymn related to the cures. When successful, The alter will glow bright white and the inside of the temple fills with soothing energy that heals wounds and afflictions. As well as a feeling of being embraced which lifts the spirits of all inside the temple. The alter can be used to conjure Golden berries, These berries are given to the bride and groom to eat before the bonding ceremony (marriage). These berries cause a euphoric feeling and give sustenance that last for the whole day and night.

Sects

Divian The group that worship the Diva's and believe the Errantians will one day usurp Celvar'wen from them. After years of segregation and discrimination, Rebellion against the ruling divianic sect flared. After the 100 year civil war, This sect was disbanded after their defeat. Celvics The Group who split from the temple rulership to keep Celvar's word and the mercy she gave to the Errantians. Joined the Rebellion to overthrow the Divian temple leaders. After the war, They choose not to take control again and left it to the people of the realms to govern themselves.
