The Uplands of Midgard are just downstream from the ore-rich mountains of Nidavellir. As you may imagine, the rivers and streams flowing from those mountains glitter in the sun, and not just because of The Gold Spark in the sky. The sizable quantities of gold are found up in the mountains, of course, but if you just need enough to purchase provisions for a simple life in the hills, there is plenty in the crystal clear waters.
The Prospector's Guild isn't a true guild like the Stonemasons or Shipping Guilds, more of a loose cooperative of hill folk who sleep under the stars and suck the marrow from life when they can find it.
