Isle of Rim
Set in the glaxy-dusted black glass waters of Starbourne lake, this island at the edge of reality is home to some hardy folk. Little more than a rocky pebble in a pond, half salinated ice forms like giant crystals around its edges. Falling stardust from the low sky, however, has littered the island for milennia, forming a rich but shallow soil layer that allows the growing of cold-loving garden crops on the villagers' small homesteads. Like many places in the northern lands, nutritious lichens grow plentifully that keep the livestock fed.
