Fracture of the Khasmari
The short-lived and relatively peaceful "war" between the Simaza and Khasza that caused the split of the Empire of Khasimar into the Co-Principality of Simar and the Deephold of Khas'Zar.
Lasting only a single year, and being the official end to the Empire of Khasimar and its united Khasmari culture, it also marks the last time the deepfolk of Antir would be seen as a superpower or force to be reckoned with. Whilst they still retain their advanced technologies and craftsmanship, their military power and reach was vastly reduced and shattered.
There were only a handful of smaller clashes or battles within the conflict, and scholars argue over its classification as a war, civil war, or civil strife amongst others. Most of the clashes were either side trying a show of force to make the other submit, though to no avail.
The Conflict
Outcome
In the immediate aftermath after the signing of the peace treaty between the two sides, there were migrations and mass movements between the two newly formed states as the populace relocated to their favoured cities. It is important to note that almost no animosity was held between the two, and a number of Simaza stayed in Khasza areas and vice versa.
Aftermath
As time went on, the two states quickly formed strong trade links, given the close symbiotic trade they had shared under the empire this was beneficial to both. As both groups started to hate and disregard war, they formed a defensive pack and provided mutual assistance in their areas of expertise.
