Saurial

Evolution

Originating from a primal world, the Saurials have survived untold horrors. But in a very unique fashion. Their species itself has actually died out may times before. However, the original Saurials were adept with technology and magic. So much so that they made a fail safe once they knew of their impending doom. Together, they formed bunkers across their world which would hold information about their race. When they inevitably went extinct, the Saurial Bunkers produced a new generation, almost just like the last. They imprinted and taught by the constructs and undead minds which came before. Now they practice this across the multiverse, conquering even the most challenging of the realities.

Science vs Magic:

Saurials on scientific worlds follow the path of their iconic ancestors who began their journey among the multiverse. Living in Saurial Bunkers, they enjoy aid mostly from their constructs, automatons, and the Soul Forge itself.
Saurials in magic based communities, however, receive more aid from their undead. And likely are an older saurial civilization, or found themselves in a realm where magic is more valuable. Strangely, saurials often rely on magic once they lose a connection to their forge and the constructs inside.
Saurial Base Traits:   Standard Ability Score Increase: Your Con and Int each increase by 1.   Age: The unstable life force of a saurial means they could live anywhere between 100 and 300 years. When you make a saurial, determine your maximum age. Your maximum age is equal to 50 + (1d6 × 50)   Alignment: The regimented learning structures of saurials makes them tend towards Lawful. Meanwhile, their training to survive no matter what makes them trend toward neutral.   Size: Most saurials are medium but some can be small by lineage. A saurial might also be an atypical size because of a mutation. You choose when you make your saurial whether you are small or medium. It is recommended that you base your size off of the same kind of dinosaur you base your saurial off of. Typical examples of small saurials would include velociraptors (knifeclaw), herrerasaurus (breakjaw), and micropachycephalosaurus (headstrong).   Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.   Ancient Lineage: The saurial have been survivors for millenia. You have proficiency in the history and survival skills.   Developed Stomach: You have advantage on the first saving throw you make against disease or poison from food you consume. In addition, once per week you can treat up to 5 pounds of food fitting for your subrace as if it were the material component for a goodberry spell. (With one goodberry for every pound of food.) When you cast goodberry in this way, the spell only lasts for one hour and can only apply to yourself. Any food not eaten within this time is treated as normal.
There are seven saurial subraces. They are the Breakjaw, Glidebeak, Headstrong, Knifeclaw, Plateback, Spinesail, and Thunderspotter.   Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common, Draconic, and one other language of your choice.
