Kahr Telohr

A city that lies pretty central on the Sword Coast, It is one of the main settlements in the Kahr Empire, and it rules over the entire Sword Coast, from the Winter Peaks down to the edges of the Dwarven Empire, where it borders with the territory of Necromandir.   For if you don't know what the Sword Coast is, it is one of the richest kingdoms in the Kahr Empire. It lies on the Bay of Barmen, and it is still a part of the Sky Peaks, which means it is also a part of Silmar. It is so rich because not only is it in a pretty ideal spot to trade with both the Countries on the inside of Silmar, because it lies so central and has some of the best infrastructure of all the main trade harbours. Next to that it also lies in an ideal position to bring resources from Temnar, because it is one of the only places where you can take resources to the inside of Silmar, because other ways to do it would be going over Denimar, going under to Scorchburg or traveling around the entire island. Not only is it ideal for trading to and around the Bay of Barmen, but it is also ideal for traveling with Kahr Zehn, because one of the only big roads that leads from Kahr Zehn head straight to Kahr Telohr.   To be clear, even though I call the Sword Coast a kingdom, it isn't an lonestanding kingdom, but part of the bigger Kahr Empire. Still, the Sword Coast does have a lot of power and a lot to say over it's inhabitants, which makes Kahr Telohr one of the twenty most influential places in the entire The Reach!   The city lies on the coast, and it's central is it's docks. The River, The Telohrian River flows straight through the middle of the city, and it is one of it's main point of interest. This makes that the city is devided into two halves, and thanks to the Main roads, you could devide the city into 3 more pieces. Allong the river there lies a big hill, and on that hill the founders had originally built the city. This part of the city is known as the Central Region, and it's also where you can find the keep. The Western region - The Docks. The Southern Region - Big with trade, to both The South and the South-West. The Central Region - Keep, defenses. The North-Western Region - Lots of storage for recources to the West, and for mining in the north. The North-Eastern Region - Richest Region, For trade with Kahr Zen. Eastern Region - For Trade upstream, and for import of grains from the fields, covers most of the river.

Demographics

Around half of the population is Dwarven, which is extremely low for a big city in the Kahr Empire. Around a sixth is Human, sixth is Sea Elven, and the other sixth are all kinds of species.

Government

The Government of Kahr Telohr is an autocratic settlement, and to be more precise, a plutocratic autocratic government. This means that it is ruled by a small group of rich people. (Plutocratic means ruled by money, Autocratic means ruled by a small group of people)

Industry & Trade

As is described in the vignette, it does a lot of trade,

Geography

It lies beside a river, and one of the biggest roads from Kahr Zen. It is also located next to the Bay of Barmen. Beside that it also is the biggest settlement all along the Western Golden Road, which is one of the three main roads that go through the Kahr Empire. On the north-eastern side there are some big woods, known as the Westwoods, which is mostly bordered on the west side by the Sword Mountains, which is the mountain range wherein Phandelvin is also located. On the East, you have the river which flowing though the country-side, and of course also the big road that heads to Kahr Zen. On the South-East you can see a big plains, covered in fields and in a distance a beautiful mountain range. These fields are known as the Golden Fields of Telohr, and this mountain range is known as the Western Kahrn Range, and it is one of the biggest sole mountain ranges in the entire Sky Peaks.   Outside of the coast, on the West side, there is an island. If the sky is clear, you can see it in the distance, but if it's a little misty or clouded, you don't really have a chance. This island is known as the Telohr, but it's official name is the Island of Forelza. It's a pretty small island, and the only real point of interest for the island is that it is really near to Kahr Telohr, which makes it an ideal location for rich people that trade through Kahr Telohr to have a villa on it, because it is mostly left alone, and it has some beautiful views, but this isn't the article about that.   The river which flows through Kahr Telohr is known as the Telohrian River, and it is, of course, named after Kahr Telohr, which is the only big settlement the river flows past. It is a really beautiful river, but terrible for trade, because just several miles upstream, the river comes down from a waterfall, and there's no real reason why you'd want to follow the river further upstream, because it leads no-where, or almost no-where, but it doesn't lead to any points of interest for any normal trader.
