The Queen of the Orient

Created by

The Great Powers of Old have enforced their rule for millennia throughout the Orient and beyond. To the cold mountains of the northern tundras, to the jungles of the south, they were the greatest empires that the world has ever seen. They have built Navies that ruled the seas and oceans, Raised armies that march endlessly to war and established Colonies that stand as a testament to their power and might. But it wouldn't last.   A catastrophe struck their nations and their homelands destroying all trace of their kings and queens, their cities and their culture, All that remains was ash and soot. Many fled to their Colonies in the Orient to escape what was once their home and to maybe return once the dust has settled. There, they were met with open arms from their fellowmen, but not of the natives who have grown weary and displeased with their masters. Over time, animosity grew between the Colonists; People who claim descent from the Great Powers and The Native peoples who have lived there for centuries.   Generations have passed and the Great Powers of Old cling to what little power they have left. No word has arrived from their homeland or ships from their ports, no one. Across their borders new nations rise as their former overlords give in to native rebellions and uprisings. With what little they have left, they formed alliances with the new nations to keep their holdings in exchange for support. Though cut off from their homelands the Colonists maintain their old traditions and culture with some integrating Oriental people into their dominions as citizens.   As the age of industry dawns on the Orient many ponder on the fates of the Great Powers of Old and on the new Rising Powers of the Orient. will there be peace and prosperity? or will there be war and conflict?
