Boodah Region
Boodah (officially Boodah Region) is an both a historic and political region within Sunland. Considered one half of the Rivush nation alongside Miseta, it is more multicultural and rural than it's sister nation. It joined with Miseta early in the Kings Age to form the Rivush Kingdom.
Boarded by Deserts Edge, Hah, and Píngshuǐ to the north. Miseta to the west. Riverwood to the south-west. And Conurbation and Fastra to the south. It is considered a central Sunland region and is renown for its fisheries and mines. It is also well known as a tourist spot for mountaineers due to its extensive mountain ranges.
Culturally it is similar to Miseta and Riverwood as it's population is mostly Rivush. Unlike those two other regions it's Rivush population is a plurality rather than a majority. It's culture is also based on appreciation of the sea and the mountains. The regard homesteader is a typical staple of both Boodan art and is their stereotype.
Although most of the population of Boodah (even those not ethnically Rivush) consider themselves part of the Rivush nation, a growing nationalistic movement began to grow before the war in support of Boodan independence. Since the division of Miseta and Boodah, the nationalistic movement has become more fringe and unpopular.
Historically a bastion of Radical support. The region has, in recent years, swung towards the Tory's and Whigs, particularly the urban areas.
