"The capital of Sky Arch, home to the best shipmakers in the region. Any questions?"
"Where do I stay the night?"
"I have a house here, you're welcome to the guest room."

Government
Like the rest of the pirate cities, Castover is run by a democracy, though with a naval twist.
Candidates must prove that they are mighty enough to hold the post and blockade the island whenever they wish to run for leadership again. This electoral blockade takes place about every four years, though smaller ones are held for practice.

Industry & Trade
Castover survives on shipwrighting sales, some farming, and trade in raw or processed goods. The most frequently made ship types are sloops and frigates, huge ships being a massive undertaking that isn't done often. However, the occasional huge ships made are considered masterworks of art.
As Castover has large hardwood forests, they export processed hardwood planks to other cities in the Pits that require them. Occasionally, they will sell hardwood furniture too.
The agricultural sector is also nothing to sneeze at, being of such a quantity to make Castover citizens self-sufficient. They grow wheat and millet; along with chickens, cattle, goats, and pigs.
Being a pirate city, it also has a black market for luxuries and obscure curiosities. As a result, the citizens have better-furnished homes than would be found in normal landlubber society.
