The Otherworld

The home of the Fae, dominated by the Seelie and Unseelie Courts.   Its sky is impossibly bright, more purple than blue. The stars are always visible, and burn gold instead of white. The forests are dense with shadows that live, and trees that sing. The griffin moths, crimson as blood, come to the call of the fae, and can facilitate any manner of magic. The creatures there tend to either be white or red, or black and green, depending on which court you stumble into.   Its cycles and seasons move on a wheel all its own, time flowing differently than all the worlds it lies parallel to. Ruled by a pair of queens that send their sisterly squabbles spiraling into civil war every century or so, it is a world that teeters on the knife edge of lush peace and vicious conflict.
