Helotia the benevolent

The person

Born in the year of the shells on the Utaro island, Helotia lived a modest youth in an orphanage when both her parents died in a fishing accident. Only daughter, she quickly learned that to be successful in life she would have to work harder than anyone else because of her social statute. She worked hard and discovered a passion for animals in general, and dragons in particular. Though she was not able to speak to them like the Lord of dragons, she studied them as a scientist would do. She is nowadays known as one of the few experts on dragons, author of several books among which:
  • Dragons, how to train them
  • Dragons and fairytales, the truth behind the lies
  • The scaled and feather beasts
  • Those being the most famous ones, scientifically speaking, and it is without forgetting her best selling novel: “the woman who murmured into the dragons’ ear” who is less based on fact though very well researched.

    The discoveries

She has helped a lot on the topic of dragons by observing their habitats and habits of Dragons. She has been the one discovering what they eat, depending of species. In fact she has even been the one distinguishing the species in themselves. On all accounts her research has been groundbreaking.

    Her untimely death

Sadly, we have lost her at a very young age of 27, as she has been the victim of a fanatic attack who claimed her works had touched the Gods. Indeed, a lots of faiths on the archipelago are based around the Dragons, and didn’t see her studies in a good light.   A school to her name   Her passion for dragons has been said to be contagious and many are those who followed in her footsteps. Such is that her father built a school for dragons studies and baptised it the Helotia school. The name has been shortened since to “helo school”, probably by the students.
