Temple of Tareyroun

The dwarfs don't have a myriad of gods like the other races. Dwarves in fact have a single god, Tareyroun. The primary temple to Tareyroun is a massive site on an island south of the eastern continent of Polactious. In the side of the mountain on the island of Khagradan is a temple. The temple it self is massive. 200ft high from base to the top of the highest tower. The front facing opening of the mountain is said to by the head of Tareyoun. These tales and myths are substantiated by the temple's clergy themselves. The front of the building even looks like a face to some extent. However, to most outsiders it can be hard to believe these myths once you've entered the temple's halls. The building itself looks like any other mountain dwarf settlement.

Purpose / Function

Prayer to Tareyroun is the primary activity that takes place in the temple. Many rituals happen among the priests and clerics of the church, mostly in the place of enchanting weapons, armor, tools, ect. as well as the crafting of these things in the first place. The building also is home to several pieces of ancient art and many powerful artifacts. Most nations stay friendly with envoys of the island of Khagradan island out of fear of what the temple alone is said to have in it's treasury.

Architecture

Megalithic structure of stone. The windows are very pure and clear quarts. Only the front quarter of the top building is out of the ground and the rest of it is within the mountain itself. Bellow the temple is a network of tunnels that house priests and smiths. Wares can be purchased from these shops with the knowledge that what you paid for the goods will go to the operations of the church.
