Meola

City of Games

Meola is the gambling capital of Portemort, welcoming many tourists from around the Old World to participate in games, and entertainment. The city houses the biggest arena in Vostroya, presenting combat in all forms. Unlike gladiatorial pits in places like Tat Kvaab, Meolans frown on killers in the arena, "they like wine, not blood" is a common phrase for a tourney instructor. Games are supposed to celebrate life, not take it away. That said, there are many underground fighting rings where no one would bat an eye if someone dropped dead. The most popular types of combat games are jousts, fencing duels, and archery tournaments.

The Casino

The other main attraction of Meola is its Casino, owned by the Count of Meola, the establishment runs all kinds of card, dice, and some arcane games, it is known for its clean reputation, and the trust of the nobility in Vostroya. If you want to see some political celebrities, the Casino is not a bad choice.

Government

The city is governed by the Count and his family, with the hand of the Vanguard, one of the remaining batalions of the Legion, led by Captain Costas.
