Niobe
The mythological Niobe was a queen who bragged so much about her beautiful and talented children that she ended up pissing off the half-goddess Leto, lover of Zeus. When Leto's twin children Apollo and Artemis came down from the skies and shot all twelve of her kids dead with their bows one by one, Queen Niobe turned into grey stone because of her pain, but even as a rock, she kept on crying forever.
Upon seeing this pretty much barren planet with a giant salt geyser on it, the young (or at least much younger) Papa Tommy and his friends said "hey, a humongous crying rock, pretty neat, ain't it" and named it Niobe after the queen. And then they made their underground hideout there and proceeded to raise children on it that they took from their parents to be their minions, assassins and smugglers, because irony.
Geography
The surface is pretty much uninhabitable because the vast majority of it is barren rock. However, there is an atmosphere that is pretty good for humans, so the underground base that uses the natural energy of the geyser for pretty much all their energy needs, was born. Also the Syndicate has equipment that can turn salt water into drinkable water. Because technology is rad as hell.
Fauna & Flora
There is very little soil and way too much rock for a proper flora to thrive but some types of moss and succulents are present near the water. The fauna is probably just a few species of insects that can sustain themselves under these circumstances. Since the humans live underground, there is not a lot of interactions happening between humans and wildlife on this planet.
Natural Resources
Drinkable water (after proper processing, of course), natural energy (the geyser called The Tears is an amazing resource of energy, it can easily provide the whole syndicate base with power), emptiness, despair, loss, and weird and sort of confusing friendships.
