Session 18B: Let's Not Go To Argynvostholt

General Summary

The Danger Strangers entered Argynvostholt, looking around for a bit. They met a Dusk Elf by the name of Savid hidden away in a side-chamber, heavily wounded. She had come here looking for a Vistani kid named Arabelle, but ran into the Revenants of the Order of the Silver Dragon. The Danger Strangers healed her up a bit and sent her on her way, and she returned to the Vistani Encampment.
Their luck however ended soon, as they found a chapel with three armored bodies kneeling before the altar of the Morninglord. These were blinded by hatred, and enraged that someone would dare to enter their halls without permission. They swiftly set out to remove the intruders, quite successfully doing so. As Carren of Rizelia barely managed to escape, the others were dragged outside unconscious. They camped the night in front of Argynvostholt, only to wake up to a wagon delivered to them with a Carren of Rizelia's name on it. It had bats inside it.
They tried to get some more information on the building, and as such send in an invisible Varis Nailo to scout ahead. He made some way, before stepping on a trap and hearing ghostly clattering as a being emerged from a wall. Vallthriel, who was watching through her raven familiar, quickly informed the other members and Andrius decided to break some windows on the wrong side of the building with a Thunder Clap. This however only alerted some spiders that were hunkering nearby, and they too quickly found themselves under attack. Varis Nailo in the meantime jumped out of a window, escaping the ghostly onlooker.
They thought about it for a moment before deciding that Argynvostholt is actually not that tempting of a place to visit. They set off to the Vistani Encampment outside of Vallaki. The encampment was oddly quiet for a Vistani place, missing the roaring fires, boisterous laughter, singing, and music that is normally accompanied by these people. They soon found out why, as the daughter of Arrigal, leader of this encampment, was the one murdered by Bluto Krogarov. A young boy was being punished as they walked in. Andrius bought a whip and a potion allowing him to pass the mists, before they set off again to meet Kasimir Velikov, leader of the Dusk Elves.
