The Five Nations Alliance Pantheon

Following is the list of greater deities worshiped by the Five Nations Alliance:   Aelphra - Goddess of the Sun & Knowledge - NG
Dominions - Light / Knowledge
Favored Weapon - Morningstar (Light) / Short Bow (Knowledge)
Aelphra is primarily worshipped by the Humans of the Empire of Ludstvo and The Principality of Deep Lake as the goddess of the Sun and divinely acquired knowledge (as opposed to research and reason - she is more of the "Eureka" moments of breakthrough). She is said to manifest to her most devoted followers as a being of radiant light, blinding those who look at her directly. Some of her most senior clerics are blind, having chosen to look directly into her radiance in hopes of being given a profound Truth in exchange. Her symbol is a circle with radiant lines surrounding it. Worship of Aelphra is performed by bringing light into an area of darkness.   Strebos - God of the Hunt and Nature Tamed - N
Dominions - Nature / Death
Favored Weapon - Whip (Nature) / Long Bow (Death)
Strebos is worshipped primarily by the Elves living within the Empire of Ludstvo, and his worship is actually banned in the Kingdom of Aellus. Strebos is said to manifest as an old man covered in furs. He is known for giving his blessings to those attempting to fight against the wilderness, but he is also known to be capricious and withhold his blessings from larger settlements. His power is said to be quite pronounced in the Northlands, filled as it is with unspoiled wilderness. Tossing the heart of a freshly killed wild animal behind you is his preferred method of worship. His symbol is an arrow.   Meldan - God of Commerce and Medicine - LG
Dominions - Knowledge / Life
Favored Weapon - Staff (All)
Meldan is worshipped first and foremost by the Humans, Gnomes, and Halflings of the Empire of Ludstvo and the Principality of Deep Lake, though Deep Lake emphasizes his generosity and healing, while Ludstvo emphasizes his blessings of traders and travelers. The Right Hands of Meldan are a popular group of Paladins known for protections of trade routes through the Empire, while the Hooked Staff of Meldan is seen throughout the Five Nations as a symbol of healing regardless of need. Donations of coin to the local temple, or to traveling healers, are considered the most pious way of worship, if one cannot tend to the wounded or ill oneself.   King Hrad - The First of the Dwarves- LN
Dominions - War / Death
Favored Weapon - Halberd (War) / Longsword (Death)
King Hrad was once the First Leader of what would become the Great Hall of Hradyarn, far enough back to the point where any Dwarf can (and will) in some way trace their ancestry to Hrad. Because of the Dwarven practice of ancestor worship, they were able to ascend to godhood. In life, Hrad was known as a great tactician. In death, as in life, they guide the Dwarven people as they pass into the great beyond. Hrad is only worshipped by the Dwarves of the Great Hall of Hradyarn, but where any go Hrad is there. Hrad does not manifest, and has no symbol.   Ruuk - Father of the Winds - CN
Dominions - Tempest / Trickery
Favored Weapon - Scimitar (Tempest) / Dagger (Trickery)
Ruuk is most often worshipped by the Runath Orc Tribe as the god of the Wind, though any sailor will tell you that Ruuk Windshaper is the God of the Ocean. Ruuk gives his blessings by releasing a bird feather into the air and letting the wind toss it as it will, though Ruuk is also known for revoking his blessings for any and no reason at all. Ruuk is rarely manifest upon this plane, but is described as an Orc, in prime physical condition. His symbol is a counterclockwise swirl.   Lai Marrin - The Night Mother - NG
Dominions - Tempest / Life
Favored Weapon - Longbow (All)
Lai Marrin is the patron deity of the Elves of the Kingdom of Aellus, and worshipped as the goddess of the moon and rain throughout the Five Nations. Almost every minor town has a temple or official shrine to Lai Marrin, Dwarven lands excepted. She is seen in Human lands as the sister of Aelphra, though in Elvish lands she is considered to be unaffiliated and above the other gods. She is also known as the god of Civilization putting her in direct opposition to Idmark (see below). Her worshipers burn a handful of grain in prayer. Her symbol is the crescent moon.   Idmark - The Enemy - CE
Dominions - Trickery / Nature
Favored Weapon - Pike (All)
Idmark is not worshipped openly within the Five Nations, though the clerics within the Kingdom of Aellus are certainly familiar with him. His domain is the wilderness itself, something that has been thoroughly tamed within the Five Nations, but is distinctly present in the Northlands. A three toed paw with claws extended is his symbol. It is said that his followers practice the sacrifice of sentient races in caniballistic rites.   Marchuk - The Shining One - LE
Dominions - Light / War
Favored Weapon - Greataxe (Light) / Greatclub (War)
Marchuk is almost unknown to the civilized races of the Five Nations, but the main deity of the Orc tribes of the Northlands. Some orcs of the Runath Tribe worship him in secret, and some scholars of history may know references to him and the danger open worship of him presents. Marchuk promises his followers glory through battle, and clarity of purpose. All those that fight have his blessing. His symbol is club crossed with an axe.
