Icy Fork
Icy Fork is a small town located at the headwaters of the Northeastern most river that flows into the Misty Inlet. It obtained its name due to the river consistently having ice flowing downstream in any given month. Due to the large glacier fields the flow down into the river, the color is a milky aqua blue. The city was originally founded due to the rich silver and iron mines in close proximity to the town. Rumor has it that gold is also mined, but locals are quiet on the subject and will only confess to the silver and iron. The iron found here is some of the best in all New Haven and sells well in the market places.
Living here can come at a price due to the extreme weather. In winter, when the river freezes over for several miles, supplies must be moved in on foot or pack train. For this reason, many of the people living here will close up shop in the winter months and move down to Mistymoors during the harshest times.
Though it has a representative's seat on the Nord Bratin council, it does not carry much political power due to low population. Many on the council see it as no more than a mining colony and not a real town.
Defences
Basic walls surround the city center and several of the primary structures. Several residences and the small port are located outside these walls, however.
Industry & Trade
Mining is the primary industry. Basic gathering and milling is also present, but this mainly is used to support the town's needs.
