Magmer

Basic Information

Anatomy

The magmer have very thick skin, which protects them from pumice rain as well as the extreme heat.
A magmer has a base body temperature of 80-82°C, but can heat up any part of his skin to temperatures up to several 100 degrees.

Biological Traits

Females are about 10 cm larger than the average, to keep the babies inside during pregnancy, since magmer babies are born with a size of about 60 cm already, and are also born with the ability to walk.

Dietary Needs and Habits

A mamger does need carbon-hydrates to grow, but not to survive. Same goes for proteins. This means, they occasionally eat scale mice, moles, red moss or Wild Wheat.
For their energy balance, a magmer digests sulfur gases, which are often times mixed with metal particulates. These gases come from under the Hot Sea as well as from the Tof - liquid lava - under the Fire Valley.
