In the days long past, before the world was ruined and dead It was a land of wonders and miracles. This all ended in the Great War. Nations of Lands beyond imagining fought from sites out of sight with meteors like great spears of fire that destroyed the world. These are weapons of another class. These were nuclear weapons
Nuclear weaponry devastated these nations and the world itself, rending reality and the wall separating the physical and the spiritual realm. But it did not end there. Something was left behind these weapons. A residue of devastation and sickness; Radiation. It cannot be felt on the skin, smelled with the nose or seen with the eyes, but it is deadly as poison's taste or a spear to the chest. Deadlier, for the changes it brings too often kill more than the one who contacts it.
It is a blessing that the Valley itself was not stricken. It is a blessing that the Mother was born and made a place for us here in the Valley. It is a blessing that it wasn't too late. So many blessings and happenstance have come together for us to learn the mistakes in the horrors of the old world.
But still some have not forgotten the lessons of the past, learned at such a great cost. Those who desire for power unimaginable; Those who wish to see conflict ended for good; those who are incapable of letting their curiosity of the old world die. Such will be the end of us all, Mother Forbid.

This technology was used as a weapon of absolute destruction, the misuse of which destroyed the world
