Shared customary codes and values
They all believe in the Higher Ups and their intentions. Some follow it as a lifestyle, yet some force themselves to seek the good in it.
Common Dress code
Anything unsaturated. They promote conformity and wearing the blandest items of clothes is the core of it. Anything blinding is unfavoured. The only thing they don't mind having some clour in it is the lights surrounding the city since they're tinted with red.
Birth & Baptismal Rites
A ritual is held where babies are offered to the Higher Ups to be "blessed", but in reality, microchip cochlear implants to insert in them so that when they come of age they'll be able to experience the Rattle.
Coming of Age Rites
When a child comes to the age of 9, they experience their first Rattle. After that, their age will be calculated by how many Rattles they experience.
Common Taboos
There are two types of taboos. Ones that revolve around acting against the beliefs of Higher Ups, and others that are generated from the civilians over time because of the social network.
Higher Ups:
- Being disorderly or inventive/creative
- Having any type of way to track time
- Being in the The Essence of False Forever rebel group
- Having red hair, which generated from a religion group breaking off from EOFF who used to worship that trait.
Common Myths and Legends
- People born with very bright, almost white, hair. It's believed that they produce a vast amount of good luck.
