The Neo

Through the untamed and a largely uninhabited world of the neo travel the pilgrims for no sake but to witness the world around them. Held in special regard by the gods, inhabitants, and monsters alike, the pilgrims have no choice but to keep moving forward. It is their curse that they are unable to pass to the next life by natural means and must continue to move forward. Believed to be both cursed and blessed by the gods, they must witness every plight and misfortune which befalls the strange land of the neo.   Misfortune and tragedy spread across the ancient land like locus. Every township is plagued by sadness or illness. Every monster harbors hatred for all other creatures and the gods are spiteful beings hellbent on vengeance and enthralled with their own agendas. Strange magic enchants the woods and mountains, and the land itself seems to be cursed to harbor ill will.
