Twigmen

Twigmen are small, humanoid creatures made from wood. The twigmen are very elusive, and are said to be the servants of Roc, the Scribe of Beasts, since they are often seen near sightings of mythical creatures.

Very little is truly known about the twigmen, they appear around forests, they always seem busy, and they're made of wood. That's about it.
Attempts to study or track them magically rarely produce any results, as they do not seem to possess souls in the same way as most sentient things.
