The Darkness beings, or lifeblood beings, didn't originate from Jael but the first ones settled here many, many years ago. Their descendants never left. They used their ability to remain in hiding for years, even as the world around them developed. Their effects on the land were seen as mysteries people spent years trying to unravel. Eventually, their hidden world was thrown into the light. Humans didn't react well to their existence.
