The Mediterrenean Fantasy World of Talis

I set out creating a naval campaign for players to enjoy and explore a fantasy world that evokes the Classical Mediterranean with some South-American influences.   Within this world, the players will get early access to a ship through semi-illegal means. From there, they will be able to travel over sea and meet many different cultures or navigate vast rivers inland into an unexplored wilderness. The campaign will most likely work best if the players inhibit a moral grey space. This does not mean that they are evil per sé, but circumstances might force them to act selfishly.
