Mythology & Lore

The beginning of creation, Life and Death were brought into existence. One can not exist without the other.

Their Master made many other beings but Death and Life would always be.

With life brought plants and animals.

Eventually plants wilted and withered away. Animals got old or sick. In the end they a greeted by death who wraps them in a warm loving embrace.

Mother Gallows is said to have been blessed by both Life and Death. Though Mother Gallows could not birth children of her own she did not let this stop her from becoming a mother.

Mother Gallows took in the children lost in the world, who's own mothers had entered the loving embrace of Mother death.

When those without powers started to turn against those who used helaing powers, summoned rain, and questioned dead men it was Mother Gallows who lead the magical children around her to safety. Mother Gallows asked unto Life and Death,

"Oh sacred mother who wraps us in warm embrace upon our creation, setting us free into the world. Sacred Mother who wraps us in her loving embrace as leave our bodies and join our missed loved ones. Sacred mothers please, I beg of you, give me the strength and power to wrap my loving embrace around these children blessed with gifts.

Sacred mothers I beg of you, guide us to safety." Life and Death looked upon a childless mother, who cared not for herself, only for those who she took into her motherly embrace, they bestowed upon her kowledge of safety. A place far from men who wished to hunt them, slit their throats, and burn them at stakes. It is with that knowledge of safety that Mothers Gallows guided the Seven families in her care. Together they created a home, a safe haven for themselves and all those who seeked safety and Mothers loving embrace. Mother Gallows knew though that she couldn't physically reach all those who needed safety. For Life and Death granted her knowledge of not just the location or her own families safety, but the safety of Magical beings around the world. Together with all of her children, connecting with spirits of those passed, Mother Gallows spread the knowldege granted to her by Life and Death.

Cosmological Views

The Great Creator was the first entity. From formed into being the universe. Then they created Life and Death. Over time the great creator made more beings, that humans refer to a celestial beings, gods, and angels. Then everything was made from there.

Tenets of Faith

Life can not exist without Death.

Death can not exist without Life.

Everything comes in balance.

Respect the earth.

Help those in need of assistance.

Protect those who can not protect themselves.

Honor and protect the great mother and her kin.

The Matriarch is mother to all, not just one.

Priesthood

The Matriarch

She is the highest member of the Order.The Matriarch is a direct descendant of Mother Gallows Brother. As she could not have children of her own. Over time magic effected the bloodline causing One female to be born into the family when it is time for the next Matriarch. Every Matriarch has the power of Each Matriarch before her. Emma Gallows Is the Matriarch before Theo. Theo is Emma's brothers great grand daughter, or her Great-Neice. Someimes there is only a generation or two between Matriarchs. Then there are times like with Emma and Theo were their is almost a century between Matriarchs.

Fillia Regina is the next in line to be Matriarch

Fillia Regina, or Queen Daughter, is the heir to the Matriarch. She will be the descendant of the Current Matriarchs Brother. A Heir is not born until the current Matriarch is ready to move on, or becomes unfit to be the Matriarch. Theo James is the current Fillia Regina.

Sisterhood/Brotherhood

Male or Female who answers directly to the Matriarch and the spirits and shares the teachings of Mother Gallows and the Matriarch. They report to the Matriarch and/or her Heir should something be brought to them that needs their attention.
