Þe Black Cane of Milan
A weapon of mass destruction. A bringer of doom! An unspeakable horror! A walker for an old person. Wait, what?
Crafted by the Italian Black Magician Lovino Vargas in 1783, the Black Cane of Milan would have simply been another type of foci if Lovino Vargas had not sacrificed a demon in the process of making it. A powerful tool, Vargas became the de facto ruler of the Italian underground until 1803, when he and his son Feliciano were killed by the French Sorcerer Francis Bonnefoi during the Napoleonic wars, with the Cane disappearing soon after. From 1827 onwards, the Black Cane of Milan would resurface all over the world in the hands of Black Mages, dark Sorcerers, and the odd Warlock until 1992, when the Wizard Councils of New York City, Boston, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, and Washington, D. C. stormed the stronghold of a Satanic cult in rural Vermont, annihilating the group and confiscating their gear, which included the Black Cane of Milan. Until further notice, the Cane has been in the possession of the Catholic Church.
Significance
The Black Cane of Milan has a silver handle. That says a lot because as a talisman of Black Magic, the silver should have negated the dark enchantments on it.
