Her trousers and long dress are very modest, making sure to not show off her skin too much. Her long blond hair is kept in a bun, out of the way of her work. As she finishes cleaning the table, you can see the fullness of her face and the thinness of her eyebrows, and you have to admit that she is beautiful.
"Can I give you a hand with something?" she says, carefully choosing her words.

Personal history

Peri grew up with her parents, who were both farmers and friends of Emet Kaldas, who was only a helper for his father back then. When Emet took control of the inn after his father's death, his malpractice meant that his staff kept changing from season to season. When Peri finally came of age, Emet snatched her up, and she has been working there ever since.

Employment

Peri has been working as a barmaid for the last year and a half, and does an arguably better job than Emet.

She also knows a great deal about farming, having worked for her parents as a child.

Intellectual Characteristics

Peri has a quick mind and great reflexes, born from a lifetime wondering about the world around her. She keeps herself fairly optimistic, although she gets annoyed easily. What she can't stand is an idiot blundering about and making trouble for her, and so she has resolved to not be one of those people.

She tries to hold herself to a high standard, morally speaking, as she knows that there are many of her profession that are less so. A low profile is the best one, in her mind; not because she has nasty secrets or horrible deeds to her name, but because she doesn't want to have any such things attached to her.

Taboos

Like many farmers, she never eats meat or fish on a holy day out of respect for the gods (the sole exception being the consecrated meat on the Day of Tros, of course).

Also like many farmers, she never wears boots indoors, although she's less sure of the origin of this tradition.

Motivation

Peri has a consistent motivation to become the owner of The Dargin's Den, taking over from Emet when he steps down or dies. It's not as if she doesn't already do much of the work around the place and know the patrons of the place almost as well as he does. Of course, she doubts that he would just give it to her, so she'll have to earn it.

She knows a lot about both of her professions, being equally skilled at serving drinks as picking fruit and weeding gardens.

On the other hand, she's not a big conversationalist, preferring not to talk too long with the bar patrons or strangers.

Peri has a great love for her work, despite its difficulties and her constant annoyance with Emet.

She enjoys having a good mug of beer at the end of the day, as well as some good food.

She absolutely detests when strangers try to romance her, as she finds the whole perception of her as "easy to get" disgusting.

She has an amazing relationship with Dagúri the Stableboy. She can be found sneaking food to him, as Emet often forgets to bring him anything.

As the Dargin's Den is the major watering hole for the town, she knows the names of nearly everyone in town, although she doesn't usually trade in gossip.

Her family are both farmers, and her younger brothers are planning to take over the farm when her parents pass away. She has a good relationship with her family, as they are proud of her hard work.

She goes to temple services, like all locals, but she doesn't place a huge amount of faith in them to fix her situation, believing that she has to do that for herself.

Peri has a strong presence whenever she chooses to become part of the conversation. She has good confidence, choosing to stay back so as not to be encroaching or impolite. Her ego doesn't normally factor into her interactions with people and she isn't particularly extroverted either. She has good manners, although those drop as soon as they are being taken advantage of.
