Goparanus Facility (go-pa-ran-oos)
Verat 17: Patient C was conscious enough to take food today. The attendant was able to go right up to their bed and gently feed them some broth. They even tried to thank her, although their words were a bit slurred and quiet. It's a welcome surprise considering yesterday's incident. Ankanth is still recovering from the wounds next door.Most of the population of Hantanius City has been through Goparanus Facility at some point. With four-fifths of the city having been infected with the Inkusel, the facility's staff are at least acquaintances to nearly everyone. This has, unfortunately, not led to an improvement in their services. Stretched thin by the needs of their patients and the needs of the greater community, the Gojoth working out of the facility do their best.
The Search and Research
The current areas of research for the facility are focused on the fight against the Inkuborn and the Inkusel. They include:- The search for a cure to the Inkusel, which has gone very poorly and has led to a lot of frustration and wasted time;
- The attempt to ease the pain and impulses of the infected, which has helped a great deal of stage 1 and 2 patients but with no luck for the stage 3 ones; and
- Researching the transition states between stages and the sources of infection, which has prevented many hundreds from getting worse.

Layout
The facility's worry about infection and proximity to the Inkuborn onslaught have a great influence on the look of the place. The building is surrounded by a small wooden wall and has very thick fireproof walls. The three stages of Inkusel have separated wings, with access only granted in very limited cases. The central portion of the building is the main administration centre, with rooms for meetings with Gojoth or presentations to community members.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
I love the realism behind how the spread of the infection has strained the resources of the facility.
