The Lost Years of the Galaxy

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...   The Clone Wars are over. The Republic won, albeit at great cost: Sheev Palpatine, once Chancellor of the Republic Senate, secretly Darth Sidious, has enacted his plan to its endgame. The Republic Senate has been restructured as the first Galactic Empire, and his new apprentice, Darth Vader, has decimated the Jedi Order as part of Order 66 and the Great Jedi Purge. It is a dark time for the galaxy.   For a year now, the Republic has swiftly and brutally been converted into the Galactic Empire, under Emperor Palpatine and his iron fist. The Emperor and Darth Vader have slowly but surely brought much of the galaxy to heel, and though there are plenty of rebel systems, planets, and organizations politically and economically opposed to the Empire, its expansion has not been halted. Discontent in the Senate has run high, but has been met with untimely "accidents" for those Senators who voice rebellious opinions too loud; others, whose dissent isn't as transparent, have been blackmailed and threatened into an uneasy submission. The remnants of the Jedi who survived Order 66 have been hunted down and executed, or brought to secret locations to be tortured, brainwashed, and repurposed as the Emperor's Imperial Inquisitorum and Shadow Guard. Only Darth Vader retains some semblance of free will.   Darth Vader's Purge of the Jedi Temple a year ago wasn't completely successful, however. A small group of young padawans and their master, though wounded, made it out of the temple by way of a small smuggler's vessel. Hiding on the lunar cityscape of Nar Shaddaa, they have attempted to disguise themselves from the Emperor's gaze. For a year, they've hidden from the agents of the new Empire, as the galaxy around them slowly crumbles. Without guidance, in a dangerous part of the galaxy, and on the run from those that would seek to end their lives, these young Jedi and their allies must find a way to survive...   ...And bring balance to the Force.
